Branches and Blossoms
So, as you may have figured out, I joined “the club” in 2006 (the Club of Moms that is) I am a Mother to a beautiful, happy, smart, funny and very spunky 5 year old little girl, Ava! In my free time-HA! Did I say free time? LOL–I can be so funny at times. I meant to say, when I am not working, designing and producing weddings, I love spending time with my family.
I love being a Mom. It is thee best job I have ever had in my life. I am not a perfect Mom, but I have to say that I am a pretty darn good MOM! My daughter is amazing! From the minute I held her in my arms and looked at that tiny little, precious little face looking up at me and I said, “Hello Ava, my little angel, I am your Mommy. It is so nice to finally meet you. I promise you that I will always be there for you always and I will be the best Mom and I can be to you.-WHOA! MOMMY!!!! That was it! From that moment on I promised to be the best Mom to Ava that I could be. Whew! I am not going to lie and I as you will learn about me, I do not sugar coat anything. It has been hard work, it is hard work every day, but it the best work I will ever do. I miss sleep although that is much better now that Ava is 5, I miss running off to Vegas with friends at a whim, I miss being able to read a book cover to cover without hearing, “I am hungry, I want a snack.” I miss being able to go to a restaurant and enjoy my entire meal without hearing, “Mommy, I need to go potty” perfectly timed right when I just got served my entree. BUT, I cannot imagine my life without Ava and I would not change a thing! I never knew what it meant to love someone more than life itself! Now I know! I am blessed to have the life I have. I would not switch my life with anyone else’s-not a chance!
Like all working Moms, in my spare time, I am always searching for tips and tricks, deals and bargains, healthy, quick and easy recipes, fun places to go on my day off with my family, fun new things to do with my family, how to reduce my stress, stay healthy, how to lose weight. I research how to I can boost my energy, I search for this I need or I search for something to do that. I think to myself while driving to appointments, “Where should Ava go to school after Kindergarten? Public School? Private School? Public School? Private School? Public School? Private School? ARGH!!!!
I have days that my energy is at an all time high and then days that I just drag and reach for as much coffee as I can consume. The days that I get into bed at the end of the day thinking, “WOW! What I day, it feels so good to slide into these sheets!” I have days that I look in the mirror and think, “Okay, I am looking and feeling pretty good today, it’s a good hair day, I just got my eyebrows waxed and they are looking good and I like my outfit today and then days that I think to myself, OMG who is this tired looking person in the mirror and what happened to my hair today? “I mean, really, what is going on with my hair today?” Hey, I am young! They say 40 is the new 20! Well, some days I feel 80-ever feel that way? Us women, Brides or working Moms (and that is working Moms or stay at home working, taking care of everything Moms) need tips, we need INFORMATION, we need help, and some days we need miracles!
So, I thought that I would create a “BRANCHES AND BLOSSOMS” Gallery on my blog . I hope you like it and if you don’t, I understand. But it is here for you if you do and since I want to find out all the answers for me and my family, I thought, why not share all I find with all of you. I work with women…all kinds of great woman and lots of them every day! Some of my Brides are already Moms and some will be Moms very soon so I created the Branches and Blossoms Gallery to share great things for Moms and Children that I find in my spare time with you!
As Moms we are branches that branch out from our family tree and our little ones are the little blossoms that with love, water, sunshine, rain, enrichment and nourishment will blossom and continue to keep our family trees growing strong.
Watch for more great finds for Moms and Children coming soon in the Branches and Blossoms Gallery!
